... but, wait, I never drew pictures of dead babies in high school! That's gross and just a bit screwed up, even for me. I would, however, like to point out that this quiz clearly states that those going on shooting rampages are 86% rational. So that means they must have a good reason, right?
This quiz insulted and threatened me the whole time I was taking it, which I found oddly entertaining (insultainment?). I'm a little worried that says more about my personality than the results of the quiz itself. Now I have just one question. What is The Sister's personality defect?
Your result for The Personality Defect Test...
You are 86% Rational, 0% Extroverted, 57% Brutal, and 29% Arrogant.

i purchased an eee pc 900 (the linux version) a little over a month ago and instantly fell in love with the mini notebook. after a little bit of tweaking --with the helpful advice on eeeuser.com-- i loved it even more. this little guy goes with me everywhere and i've become very dependent on it. you can imagine my frustration when i suddenly couldn't capitalize certain letters or use the underscore. my asus eee pc had a shift key problem. actually, it still does which is why everything is in lower case.
after doing some fruitless googling, i resigned myself to contacting the online asus tech support. i expected to submit an email but they actually have live 24/7 support for free. after discussing my issue with the super nice tech, he concluded that i would need to send my unit in for repair but i needed to call to get the rma. he provided me with the phone number and correct menu item selections so i could whiz through the automated system. when i called, i was on hold for less then 5 minutes when the same guy i'd been im-ing with picked up. he apologized for not being able do the rma over im-ing. he gave a reason but i don't remember what it was. i was too preoccupied with the fact that he spoke very clear english, was super polite, extremely efficient and a pleasure to deal with. i actually had a smile on my face while hanging up. that never happens. ever.
i'd always been a little amused by asus's tag line of "rock solid. heart touching." how could a computer electronics company be heart touching? well, the shift keys don't work on my brand new asus notebook yet here i sit blogging good things about asus. i guess all it takes is good customer service. go figure.

I'm just back from the "end of the year" work happy hour. In my job, the year "ends" with the start of school, since I'm in recruiting. It feels good to be done with the ridiculous stress, but now, at 10PM on a Friday night, I'm watching the Olympics after some liquid celebration with my colleagues, and I couldn't be happier, looking forward to a weekend of, well, nothing!
Booking through Thursday, a Day Late...
* Do you or have you ever read books about the Olympics? About sports in general?
Um, I don't think so. The last book about sports I read was a teenage book that involved a swimmer recommended by one of my school counselor profs.
* Fictional ones? Or non-fiction? Or both?
That particular book was fiction.
And, Second:
* Do you consider yourself a sports fan?
No, although I'm about to watch Michael Phelps swim the 100 fly. I was a swimmer, and care more about him in this Olympics that I've ever cared about anything. Ooh! He won. I love him.
* Because, of course, if you’re a rabid fan and read about sports constantly, there’s a logic there; if you hate sports and never read anything sports-related, that, too … but you don’t have to love sports to enjoy a good sports story.
True dat. I'll probs read Michael Phelp's bio. His mom is freakin' adorable.
* (Or a good sports movie, for that matter. Feel free to expand this into a discussion about “Friday Night Lights” or “The Natural” or whatever…)
The last sport movie I watched was probably Pride, the swimming moving about the inner city kids. I'm kind of a one-sport gal, I guess.
The Friday Five...more or less on time...
1. What did you last replace batteries for?
Umm. I could venture a guess, but I'm not 100% certain...
2. What have you thrown away that you probably could have had repaired?
Huh...I'm not much for repairs, but I also hate to throw out good things. I have my old lap top, which is painfully slow, and I've replaced, but I still have it.
3. Among items in your line of sight right now, what should probably be put in the trash?
Nothing, cause my honey cleaned the house today while I was at work!
4. When did you last use disposable cutlery while dining in your house?
Hmm...oh! Lunch today. Left over pad thai from my favorite restaurant, while at my desk, for breakfast.
5. Whose actions cause you to waste time you otherwise wouldn’t waste?
Hmm...I'm sure a lot of people. I'll blame my students, who drag their feet on completing financial aid paperwork, admission paperwork, res life paperwork, and immunization paperwork. If I didn't have to tell them each 50 times, I'd be much happier.

Um, no. I don't think I have.
* Fictional ones? Or non-fiction? Or both?
Neither, but I'd be more likely to read a non-fiction title.
And, Second:
* Do you consider yourself a sports fan?
No, not at all. I liked playing soccer in junior high but that's as far as my interests in sports ever went.
* Because, of course, if you’re a rabid fan and read about sports constantly, there’s a logic there; if you hate sports and never read anything sports-related, that, too … but you don’t have to love sports to enjoy a good sports story.
True, I shouldn't have to love sports to enjoy a good sports story but there are so many other things on my "Need to Read" list that sports stories are simply not a priority.
* (Or a good sports movie, for that matter. Feel free to expand this into a discussion about “Friday Night Lights” or “The Natural” or whatever…)
I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do, they generally fall into the action/sci-fi/fantasy genres. Sports flicks aren't my thing.
